Teaching and Pastoral

Charly joined Summer Fields in 2017 as a Lodge Parent in Savage's, alongside her husband Ollie, later joining the Pre-prep when it opened in 2018. In the Pre-prep Charly taught both Year 1 and Year 2 classes for several years, later becoming part-time and teaching Learning Support and Music. She currently teaches French to Reception and Year 1 and still teaches 1:1 lessons too.

Charly read Music at Leeds University and went on to complete her PGCE at Oxford Brookes, with a focus on Primary Languages. She began her teaching career at Chandlings, later moving to St Hugh's, Carswell.

Charly and Ollie ran Savage's for seven years and now live out of lodge, where they are enjoying increased time with their two daughters, Martha and Romilly, and their many pets.

In her spare time, Charly enjoys walking her dogs, cycling, cooking and thinking about Christmas!
