Alan joined Summerfields in September 2024 having previously worked at Aldwickbury and Aysgarth prep schools as Head of Classics. Having graduated from Royal Holloway with a degree in Italian and Music he spent six years abroad, working as a tour guide in Italy and France and as an English teacher in a Parisian University. 

Working in a Prep school allows him to indulge his love of sport, music and languages, sing in the choir, coach teams and enthuse about the magical beauty of Latin grammar. 

Alan enjoys spending time with his two daughters, taking them out and about and exploring new places.
